In the 80's the "Macachi" were born, the statues of the popular Nativity in Albisole. These statues are created by the gypsum mould and after the ceramists add the legs and arms to the body, they decorated them. The "Macachi" represent all characters of the Saint Francis' Nativity and becomes a local tradition, which is transmitted for many years. They are simply statues and represent the ceramic tradition in the artistic associations but also in the local communities. It is an unrefined style and capable to become a tradition, which lasts the time and also it's the expression of the artists. Nowadays this tradition is appreciated every year.
